2008 Inaugural Class

Pete “Postman” Gaughan

Pete Gaughan is credited with writing a riveting front page Sun Press article covering Draft Party I back in the year 2000. This was not his plan on Draft Day, but he had so much fun that he couldn’t bring himself to leave. This article is credited for breaking the story of the Draft Party from the basement.

Kevin McCarthy

Kevin McCarthy, singer-songwriter(‘Bad Bad Cleveland Browns’) performed live at Draft Party II, gracing the only outdoor venue in Draft Party history. Amid near freezing temperatures, according to some in attendance, Kevin made the sun come out with his opening song, ‘Here Comes the Sun’, by The Beatles. Kevin has been a loyal advocate ever since.

Tom Providenti

“Big Tom” could be credited with the original concept of the Draft Party, when it revolved primarily around eating cold cuts. The evolution of the Draft Party has been strongly influenced by Tom.

Craig Rice

Craig is the quintessential Draft Party enthusiast. The doors open at 11:00 AM for the Draft Party and Craig is usually camped out waiting to volunteer at 10:59 AM. His love for the Draft Party is eclipsed only by his love for the golf outing.

Jason Wolfrom

Jason is the decisive Draft Party Historian. He was noticed at an early age for having an unwavering focus and mental toughness when it came to the Draft. He can probably recite every Browns draft pick in history, and well, probably every other teams’ too.
