In 2007, The Karen Foundation for MS was created with the mission of providing respite care services and assistance to the people and their families in Northeast Ohio coping with the daily stresses that multiple sclerosis brings into the home. Today, The Karen Foundation – named for my mother – is very proud to support the work of the National MS Society and Cleveland Clinic organizations. We feel privileged to work with them in fulfilling their missions and will continue to steer our efforts in the years to come.
As we enter our second decade of hosting events, I can look back fondly at all the new friends, family, and relationships that have entered our lives. Seems like yesterday (back in the year 2001) that we hosted our first event that coincided with the NFL Draft. With merely a small group of college students, we were able to make a very small donation to The National MS Society here in Ohio. Our little event quickly gained popularity in the community and since the inception of the Karen Foundation in 2007 we have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars helping families in Northeast Ohio living with this disease.
None of this would be possible without your loyal support. With your donations, efforts, and attendance at these fundraisers, we have truly created a grass-roots effort that is making a real difference in peoples’ lives in Northeast Ohio. We invite you to contact us; we are more than happy to provide additional information about our foundation, as well as answer any questions you have.
Thank you for helping me to fulfill a lifelong dream with the continued success and growth of this foundation.
